Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Overview
Alchemy of Souls season 2 (Alchemy of Souls Part 2: Light and Shadow/ 환혼: 파트2) is the sequel of the Korean historical drama series directed by Park Joon-hwa and starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members.
The sequel brings the story 3 years after the tragic ending we witnessed in season 1, and with Go Yoon-jung joining the cast as the new female lead. As Jang Uk becomes a hunter of the soul-shifters, a young woman, a prisoner in her own home, seeks his help to reclaim her freedom.

Master Lee brings Jang Uk closer to the truth but does not reveal anything. Jang Uk and Bu-yeon come closer while the crown prince tries to stop Jin Mu, only to fail as the latter holds a secret that could bring bigger problems.
On theother hand, Seo Yul reveals his reason for coming back and a mission that he needs to fulfil before his end while Bu-yeon provides him with comfort. Meanwhile, she promises Jang Uk to forever be his side while maintaining a distance.

Alchemy of Souls season 2 episode 4 sees Jin Mu ready with a plan to destroy the relationship between Jang Uk and Jinyowon as he terrorises Daeho with Naksu’s name. Giving Jang Uk the responsibility to stop Naksu, he then moves forward with Bu-yeon as his target.
The queen organises a banquet with a hidden intent as a soul shifter attacks Bu-yeon in the middle of the celebration, only to reveal that this is Jang Uk’s plan to fulfil his task and clear the fear among the people of Daeho.
As he finally sheds tears for Mu-deok, Bu-yeon arrives at his side whom he later kisses.
